From trade-in to claimed in a day
A Canadian franchise dealer takes in a late-model truck on trade Monday morning. By Monday afternoon it's in Early Access with the dealer's own walk-around photos, and a US dealer has claimed it. By Tuesday it's on a transporter headed for the border. Early Access gives approved US dealers first look at fresh Canadian trades, before any other dealers see them.
Where the supply comes from
Last week we opened Instant Offer to every franchise dealer in Canada. Dealers get a firm number on a trade-in in seconds, and close to 100 dealerships already use it.
When a Canadian dealer accepts an offer, we book the vehicle on a truck to the US, and that's when it lists in Early Access. It ships whether or not anyone has claimed it, so every car you see is already booked to cross the border.
How it works
- Get access. We set you up with an Early Access login.
- Get notified. When fresh vehicles list, you hear about them first, while they're still in Canada. Each listing includes the Canadian dealer's own walk-around photos and condition answers, so you know what you're getting before it crosses.
- Claim it. The first dealer to claim a vehicle gets it. Claiming reserves the vehicle and locks in your price, and the sale processes on the release date, so it isn't aging on your books in the meantime. You can buy directly from Signal, with no auction account required.
- We handle everything. Every price is for the vehicle landed at our registered importer (RI) facilities in the US. The border, duty, US compliance and title are on us.
What you're buying
- CPO Ready. Vehicles within our age and mileage limits carry a CPO Ready badge: windshield fixed, tires at 6/32 or better, two sets of keys, and no major body or mechanical issues.
- Priced to market. Every vehicle is priced against recent US wholesale sales.
- Retail-ready. Fully conformed for US retail, with title in hand.
Can't I just buy these at auction?
You can. Anything not claimed in Early Access runs in Lane 9 at Manheim Detroit, where it's still available. Early Access is your first look, before any other buyer sees it.
